Strengthening the community during this year’s National Health Center Week

Every year during the month of August, National Health Center Week is celebrated to raise awareness for the work and accomplishments achieved by the country’s numerous health centers. Community Health Centers, such as Hamilton Community Health Network, are the pillars of strength, hope and care within the communities they serve, and during these current times health centers couldn’t be more critical and needed. This year’s National Health Center Week is dedicated to acknowledging the efforts of these health centers to build strong communities.

Hamilton has focused specifically on helping strengthen the community through giving and providing access to underserved populations. This year’s NHCW events will include:

Tuesday, August 10th – Hamilton on the Road
Hamilton will start the week off in service to the community’s homeless population by touring three shelters in Flint where Hamilton will provide backpacks with school supplies, COVID-19 vaccinations, healthcare tips and more. Hamilton will be touring the Shelter of Flint at 4pm, YWCA at 5pm and CarriageTown Ministries at 6pm.
