Joseph Karanja, FNP, Explains Measles Outbreak

Many were worried with the notification of measles being detected in Oakland County Mid-March. To explain our risks, ABC 12 headed to Hamilton to talk with Joseph Karanja, Nurse Practitioner, who shared how everyone can prevent measles – with the vaccination called MMR.

Signs and symptoms of measles begins with a fever, followed with coughing, sneezing, red eyes, and a red rash starting at the forehead and working its way around the body. If you think you’ve been exposed, seek medical attention immediately.
