FLINT, MICH – It was a special second Thursday full of “mommy talk.” Hamilton Community Health Network’s (HCHN) Mommy Talk: Lunch Us program wrapped up programming for the 2018 year. Every mother walked away with a gift, thanks to HCHN and partnering sponsors.
Over twenty mothers filled the conference room at North Pointe Clinic on December 13. Their minds were filled with new knowledge, recipes and tips on having a healthy pregnancy. Their bellies were filled with a home-style lunch from Bob Evans, provided by Molina Healthcare. Their hands were filled with gifts: a $25 gift card from HAP, bags of fresh fruit and vegetables from Michigan State University Extension, coats for their children purchased by Molina Healthcare, and clothes and toys donated by HCHN employees.
Mommy Talk: Lunch on Us began in July 2018. Since then, the program has seen an increase in expectant mothers attending each second Thursday. Dates for 2019 are scheduled through June 13. For more information and to RSVP, visit the Mommy Talk page.
