Hamilton Community Health Network is a non-profit, Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) with a focus on providing high quality health services to all, regardless of ability to pay. Because Hamilton is officially designated as a “federally qualified health center” by the federal Health Resources and Services Administration of the Department of Health and Human Services, we are awarded a grant every year that helps us charge for our services using a sliding fee scale for eligible low income individuals and families. We also accept insurance types, such as Medicaid and Healthy Michigan, plus other public and private health insurance programs.
Established in 1983, Hamilton is the largest FQHC in Genesee County with seven clinics and one clinic in Lapeer County. We have over 200 employees and a network of over 40 providers specializing in primary care/family medicine, pediatrics, obstetrics/gynecology, optometry, oral health, podiatry, behavioral health and psychiatry. Additionally, Hamilton has Michigan Medicine (University of Michigan) physicians and providers attend specialty clinics monthly. Those clinics include urology, gynecology, and breast health.
Everything we do at Hamilton Community Heath Network is aimed at providing you with the finest and most compassionate care available anywhere.
Our Mission is to be the leader in providing comprehensive, quality, community-oriented healthcare for the insured and uninsured of Genesee, Lapeer and surrounding areas.
The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), in accordance with the Federally Supported Health Centers Assistance Act (FSHCAA), deems Hamilton Community Health Network to be an employee of the Public Health Service for the purpose of liability coverage as part of the FTCA (Federal Tort Claims Act). This health center receives HHS funding and has Federal PHS deemed status with respect to certain health or health-related claims, including medical malpractice claims, for itself and its covered individuals.
Hamilton is an FQHC, therefore, the Federal Tort Claim Act (FTCA) provides insurance.
